Special Church Meeting 3rd July 2013 7.15pm

The members and congregation of Carey have a number of issues to look at and discuss at the July Church Meeting. The Working Party and Deacons have put together an exciting proposal for the future of the church buildings which requires the members agreement.

The special meeting has been called to agree phase one of a three phase plan and there will be an opportunity for everyone to discuss the plans before the members vote on allocating some finance for this first phase.

The meeting will be in the church hall, the BB officers will serve refreshments from 7.15 p.m.

Members should make every effort to attend all church meetings but this meeting may be a land mark moment in the life of Carey Church, decisions must be made.

As you can see from the monthly giving graphs (right) this is down compared to last year. This monthly giving supports the church in its daily work giving us full time ministry and buildings to meet and worship in.

We have a separate development fund which will have to finance any re-development of the church building but we will need to raise a significant amount and apply for grants.

A big thank you to Fred Northern (and Joan) for their work in fitting the new toilet in the church, we now have a disabled friendly toilet which has hot water to the sink. It still needs a coat of paint so if you have some spare time have a word with Fred, I’m sure he won’t mind you helping out with the painting.
